The alt code for the Backslash Symbol is 92. Although most English keyboards have a dedicated key for this symbol, you can also type it using the Alt Numpad Input Method (AKA Alt Code Method). By pressing and holding the Alt key while typing the Backslash symbol Alt code (92) on the numeric keypad, you can accomplish this.

This is a Windows-only method. A numeric keypad is also required on your keyboard.

If you’re still having trouble, simply follow the steps below to type the backslash symbol using the alt code method:

Place your insertion pointer where the symbol is required. On your keyboard, press and hold the Alt key.

Press the symbol’s alt code while holding down the Alt key (92). To type the alt code, you must use the numeric keypad. This method may not work if you are using a laptop without a numeric keypad.
